Laura and Brandon had a beautiful intimate wedding in the mountains of North Carolina. They combined their favorite parts from an elopement style day as well as including their friends and family. So let me tell you all about these two awesome people and their day.
Laura graduated from medical school that Friday before their wedding, so first off big congratulations to her on that awesome achievement!
On Sunday morning we met at the trailhead before sunrise. John hiked up with Brandon and Laura's brother first so that they could get ready on top of the mountain and be prepared for the first look. I met with Laura and her sister in law and we hiked up a few minutes later. On the hike up Laura mentioned how amazing everything was, she just graduated and was going to have her dream job and now she was marrying the love of her life ❤️ I hiked a little ahead to make sure Brandon was in position and then Laura was able to put her dress on and do some finishing touches before their first look.
They shared their first look just after sunrise on a mountaintop with the clouds down in the valley. To say the view was stunning this morning is an understatement. Also take note, Brandon's reaction is the reaction everyone wants for a first look. They spent some time just soaking it all in before exchanging their vows privately. Laura's brother and sister in law also wrote them some very sweet letters that they exchanged. We spent some time enjoying the morning light and had some coffee before beginning our hike back down.
We headed off to Souther Williams Vineyard which was just a short drive away. Laura went to go freshen up and all the final touches were set for the ceremony. They had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the vineyard with their friends and family in attendance. Their dog Bear was their ring bear-er ❤️
After the ceremony we took some family photos and then they had a picnic in the vineyard. They popped champagne, enjoyed some cake, and snuck in some puppy snuggles. We explored around the vineyard for a while more and then they shared their first dance just the two of them.
After their time in the vineyard they went back to their airbnb with their friends and family and had a private chef make brunch for everyone.
