Planning Guide - 100+ page guide walking you through step by step how to plan your dream elopement.
Photography - Capturing the memories of your day in a candid laid back style. We’re not capturing awkward prom poses and forced smiles - we’re looking for the real stuff. The stuff that'll make you laugh until your cheeks hurt and will make your heartbeat a little faster. Your love story is completely unique, and we want to capture that.
Videography - Capturing the essence of your day through video. Documenting your adventures in a casual laid back way. Let's be real, the excitement of the day can make it so you don't remember all those special little moments. Intimate wedding or elopement?
Not sure on the difference between an elopement vs. Intimate Wedding? Well let’s give you a brief run down.
Elopement - (for a couple and up to 10 guests)
This is an intentionally small wedding celebration allowing you to go on some awesome adventures and have your most perfect day.
Having a small group size allows for you to go out into some areas in nature that are not accessible to larger groups. Think of mountaintops, alpine lakes, waterfalls, all sorts of epic things.
Intimate Wedding, A Micro wedding, Small Wedding (there's a million different terms for it these days) - (For a couple and up to 50 Guests)
Typically for intimate weddings the couple will choose to go out an adventure just the two of them for sunrise or sunset and then spend the rest of the day celebrating with their favorite people. Many times for intimate weddings a venue or ceremony site is reserved.
We photograph primarily elopements & intimate weddings. We only offer video options for events with less than 30 guests. We do still offer photography services for larger weddings & events.

So who the heck are we?
We’re the two humans behind the cameras for Amy Weits Photography. We're both adventurers, daydreamers, and you guessed it wildly in love. Fun fact, we’re actually highschool sweethearts and have been together for 10+ years.
A little bit about each of us:
Amy is a nature loving, dog loving, IPA drinking, photographer & artist living life one adventure at a time.
John is a mountain biker, PBR drinker, stoner rock lover, photographer, videographer & creator.
We have a home base in Maggie Valley, NC (just a little outside of Asheville). We love to travel and are down to adventure throughout the US & Beyond.
We both have a heart for exploration and love working with couples who share this adventurous spirit. Genuine smiles, hearty laughs, spontaneous adventures, that’s what we’re all about.

Best wedding photographer ever!!
Amy was nothing short of phenomenal! She was extremely responsive, met with us well in advance, answered all our questions and was early for every shoot. She was willing to do a family portrait session instead of an engagement session, which we loved! On the big day she was so easy to work with and made everything feel effortless. She captured every shot we asked for and so much more. She was able to capture all the happiness and love in our wedding and the pictures turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined. If you are in the North Carolina/ upstate South Carolina area there is no one better to photograph your big day!

Amy is truly incredible!! I didn't think I could love pictures so much until I received the first two rounds of teasers from our wedding! For real laddies, she saved me MULTIPLE times from my guest, vendors,ect when everything started to get to be a bit to much, to get a quick second alone to just breathe! 😅 I couldn't imagine having our wedding without Amy!
