Hello there!

ADVENTURERS, DAYDREAMERS, & THE WILDLY IN LOVE

Hey! I'm Amy! Its great to meet you! Well... Kind of meet you. Hopefully we can meet face to face soon! I am so stoked you're considering us for such an incredible day! My husband John and I work together capturing amazing wedding days through photography. The truth is your wedding is a once in a lifetime occasion - The two of you are about to start the most challenging, rewarding, exciting, life-changing experience of your lives together - And choosing someone to capture your day is a big decision. I would describe our style as very laid back and natural. The little in between moments make for the best photos & video, and we're not capturing awkward prom poses and forced smiles. Genuine smiles, hearty laughs, spontaneous adventures, that's what we're all about. Your love story is completely unique, and we want to capture that.

Amazing and detailed photos. So attentive and creative!

Amy always delivers such beautiful work that captures moments that I cherish so much. She and her husband were on the spot and worked with us during all of the last minute changes. Her eye and attention to detail truly captures the moments. I cannot thank them enough for their work and for their help.

FAQS

DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes we love travel! We are currently based in NC and travel to WA regularly. You can check out our current travel schedule HERE. We do not charge any travel fees for anywhere in NC and we do not charge any travel fees if we are already in the area. We are always down to adventure to new places, so reach out and we are happy to send you a custom quote.

CAN WE ONLY BOOK YOU FOR A FEW HOURS?
Yes of course! Our minimum package is our Birch 4 Hour Package. We are always happy to make a custom package based on the amount of coverage you need. Our hourly rate after the Birch Package is $700.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIVER?
Typically it is safe to estimate somewhere between 100-150 photos per hour of coverage.

HOW MUCH DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?
I'd say 70% of the way our photos look comes down to the way I edit my photos. Each photo receives basic color correction, cropping, adjustment for lighting, etc, as well as a custom filter to give it the vibe you see in my portfolio. I do not offer any body modifications to my photos.

DO I HAVE TO GET MY ALBUMS AND PRINTS FROM YOU?
A lot of studios do the watermark thing or force you to print albums through them - I'm not a big fan of that route. I do offer albums and prints, but the way I see it, you've invested a lot for your photos, so you should have the freedom to do what you want with them for personal use.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes we do! We have two payment plans to choose from. We require a $1000 nonrefundable retainer to save your date and then the remaining balance can either be split into monthly payments or can be one final payment due 30 days prior to your wedding.

I'M READY TO BOOK! WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Awesome! We can't wait to get to know you and are thrilled that you've chosen us! We do require a $1000 nonrefundable retainer as well as a signed contract to reserve your date.
The next step would be to set up a phone consult so we can get to know each other and we can go over the full planning process.

Our Planning Process

We're not just your photographers. We're here for you every step of the planning journey. We offer unlimited consults, location guidance, permit guidance, a 100+ page how to plan your intimate wedding guide, vendor recommendations, and timeline assistance. So what does our planning process look like:

  • After you book we send over a get know you questionnaire and your guide to planning your intimate wedding. That questionnaire really helps us get to know you better and depending if you already have a location picked out yet or not we can recommend locations that check all your boxes.

  • If you do need location suggestions within about a month of completing your get to know you questionnaire we will send you over a detailed location suggestion list.

  • Once you choose a location you love, we will send you over recommendations for other local vendors and you will book your lodging and travel.

  • A few months before your day we will send you one final questionnaire that goes into all the details to create a fun filled timeline.

  • Within a month of completing that questionnaire we will send you over a suggested timeline and we will set up a time to chat and go over everything.

  • We meet up on your wedding day and go have an awesome day.

  • Within about 1 week from your wedding day we will share a teaser album of photos.

  • Within 8 weeks you will receive your full gallery and you can order any prints or albums you would like.

  • At anytime during the planning process you can reach out to us for questions or suggestions, we're always here for you 😊

Engagement Sessions

I love when couples opt to have an engagement session. You're a little (a lot) less busy and it's a lot less stressful than on your wedding day. It gives us time to get to know each other - no pressure and no timeline to stick to.

If you're like me, having your photos taken can feel awkward and uncomfortable. That's ok - most people feel this way.

Engagement sessions are a fantastic way to overcome that anxiety and a great way for me to learn about both of your personalities and how to best capture them. You'll get a feel for what it's like to be told what to do with your hands and asked to spin in a circle, and I'll learn your little quirks and what all your best angles are. Whether you're more serious and artistic or laid back and playful, learning about your unique personality will help me tell your story on your wedding day the way it deserves to be told.

Engagement sessions start at $450 for a 1-1.5 hour session.
